“I was seeking something to help me find a deeper connection to my self-worth, a deeper connection to the meaning of life, I then found yoga…”

There was a point in my life where I started to lose a sense of myself by falling into the same toxic cycles and unhealthy routines that were stunting my progression as a whole. I was seeking something to help me find a deeper connection to my self-worth, a deeper connection to the meaning of life, I then found yoga and started coming to classes regularly. It quickly became apparent to me that yoga was more than the physical asana. It was a deep healing tool that became a consistent and daily positive asset to my life. Every time I landed on my mat, I started to gradually see a shift internally and the way I chose to live my daily life. After practicing for about a year consistently I knew I wanted to learn more about this beautiful practice and learn more about myself through the teachings of yoga.
It was in 2016 when I made the decision to take my 200hr teacher training at Chrysalis yoga in Burlington. This is a place where I can easily say it is my āsecondā home. I couldnāt imagine starting this journey anywhere else.
“I clearly had a strong passion to learn as much as I could”
After completing my 200hr training I stayed extremely consistent with my teaching and my personal practice for about a year, exploring any yoga or self development workshops/seminars I could get my hands on, I clearly had a strong passion to learn as much as I could.
During the end of that year I had made another decision to do another training, I knew I wanted to do it internationally, I knew I wanted to learn more about inversions and I knew I wanted to learn more about the Ashtanga practice.
I then found a training that had all three combined, it was almost like the universe had placed it in my lap and said, āHere you go!ā. So, opportunity came knocking and I jumped through that door with my heart and soul. The current company I was working for denied my request to take a leave of absence for a month to complete this training. I ended quitting my full-time job of almost 10 years as a preschool teacher to follow my heart.
“Yoga continues to transform my mind, body, and soul through my teaching and personal practice.”
In February 2017 I left to Peru for a month to complete my 300hr Inversion based Vinsaya Teacher Training. I could not be more humbled with the decision I made. This practice, theory and practical is my passion and my forever healing tool for life that grounds me on dark days and lifts me higher on bright days. Yoga has encouraged me to explore my highest potential as a being enhance self-discovery and most importantly helped me embrace self-love.
Yoga continues to transform my mind, body, and soul through my teaching and personal practice.
